Bassey Willie, Yenagoa
The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has begun Enterprise and Financial Counselling Clinic (NDE-efcc) against business failure for 25 business owners in Bayelsa State. The Director General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, while speaking during the flag-off of the programme in Yenagoa, said the training is simultaneously holding in other states including Adamawa, Anambra, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Gombe, Imo, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Plateau, Sokoto, amongst others.
He said the training was part of the efforts of the directorate to address the menace of business failure created as a result of lack of managerial skills by new entrants into the informal sector.
Represented by the Coordinator of NDE in Bayelsa State, Mr Aham Osuchukwu, Fikpo stated that the concept of the NDE-efcc programme was borne out of the desire to provide opportunity for business persons facing challenges to obtain solutions through experience sharing with other businessmen.
