Chimamanda Adichie unveils “Mama’s Sleeping Scarf”

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie recently revealed that “Mama’s Sleeping Scarf,” her debut children’s book, had been finished. Adichie unveiled the book cover and provided information about the book in a post on Instagram.

The post reads; “So delighted to announce that I’ve written my first children’s book, Mama’s Sleeping Scarf. It is a celebration of the joy in ordinary family life. The illustrations by the immensely talented @ joelle_avelino are so beautiful, so apt.”

The author also mentioned that “It also happens to be based on a day in the life of my daughter.”

In the endearing tale Mama’s Sleeping Scarf, a young girl falls in love with her mother’s scarf and has fun and adventures with both her family and the scarf.
